Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo and Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings had to be separated by their teammates during the Reds' defeat at Villa Park on Sunday.
United started the match sluggishly and were two goals behind inside 11 minutes. Leon Bailey fired home the opener in the seventh minute before Lucas Digne curled home a free kick moments later to ensure a nightmare start for Erik ten Hag's team.
The Reds regrouped as the half wore on and they grabbed themselves a lifeline just before the break. Luke Shaw's long-range strike deflected off Jacob Ramsey to leave the match finely poised at 2-1.

Ramsey would soon redeem himself after the unfortunate own goal as he turned home an Ollie Watkins cutback to leave United's hopes of a quick response in tatters. Frustration was building among the Reds and it boiled over just before the hour mark.
As Alejandro Garnacho prepared to cross into the Villa box, Ronaldo and Mings found themselves tussling for position. With neither man willing to step back, the pair almost came to blows.
Teammates from both sides rushed to separate the pair. Once order was restored, referee Anthony Taylor booked both men for their involvement in the clash.
Defeat for Ten Hag's side leaves them in fifth position in the table.
