Crimson Desert players have a common foe, and his name is Yann: "An absolute disgrace to the Greymanes"

Crimson Desert: Cliff Macduff looking out into the distance during the new game, Crimson Desert.

Generally speaking, the Greymanes of Crimson Desert live up to their reputation as mighty warriors who protect what is just. Except for Yann, who spends a remarkable amount of time complaining, which might not be so bad, if he wasn't always giving you stuff to do, and players are already getting sick of him.

"There are like 40 Greymanes, most of which are genuinely pretty interesting and have cool stories," John 'Bucky' Buckley, head of publishing and communications at Pocketpair, says on Twitter. "And yet… We have to do like 40 missions that involve Yann moaning like a baby for 15 mins."

Pushing you to spend so much time with Yann is definitely a decision the team at Pearl Abyss chose to make. Maybe the devs didn't quite realize just how annoying people would find him? Or they did, and this is a prank? Because there's a real consensus forming.

"Yann is an absolute disgrace to the Greymanes," writes an impassioned Redditor. "He's belligerent, he does nothing to actually help us in the camp, he bitches whines and moans all the damn time, he's constantly drinking and complaining when he isn't. Why the hell do we keep him around?"

Why indeed, the question on many lips. "Dude, I cannot stand Yann," says a commenter on the same thread. "Doing all the Greymane side missions really made me hate him. He makes you do all the work so he can spend all the coin," another commenter states.

"I want to throw him off a cliff," another Reddit user says. "That's all. Yann sucks." This is Adoring Fan in Oblivion levels of disgust, and I love it. You do you, Yann. Let these haters hate. Besides, I doubt Pearl Abyss will be patching this any time soon, just to let people broil.
