An Edinburgh resident has said that she has spotted several mice scurrying around the floor in a glasshouse at Saughton Park.
Rosalind Alexander was with her family in the Winter Gardens at the popular park at around lunch time on Monday April 3.
She says that the three mice she spotted were not of great concern however if their numbers increase it is feared they could stop families from visiting the space.

Rosalind says that she does not personally mind mice herself but accepts that they could still spread germs within the area.
However she has grown concerned about a trapped robin within the glasshouse.
She said: “If they were rats I would have been more concerned. But they do spread gems
and they probably should be living outside rather than in the glasshouse in the Winter garden where children come to visit the fishes in the pond.
“Most people don't like mice but to be honest I’m not sure what could be done to prevent them.
“If there were lots of mice in the glass house I would probably be more concerned as you wouldn’t want a plague of mice running around the place.
“But the odd one shouldn't do any harm although they may scare adults and children away so maybe they should take precautions.
“I have noticed a poor robin that seems to have been trapped in here since mid January.
“It appears desperate to get out of the glasshouse as I saw one of his mates trying to get to him by banging on the glasshouse last month.
“I’m not sure what he does for food to survive but I have been trying to give him some when I see him.
“It is difficult because I don’t want to end up encouraging the mice.”
Images shared by Rosalind show mice jumping around the ground as they travel from plant pot to plant pot.
It is understood that Edinburgh City Council are aware of a small number of mice in the planted areas at the conservatory at Saughton Park.
It is not thought to be unusual but they are monitoring the site and seeking advice from colleagues in pest control on whether any control measures should be implemented.
The glasshouse also has ventilation planes that offer plenty of space for birds like robins to escape from the building.
