A man has been jailed after masturbating in front of two teenagers at a Scots train station.
Craig Anderson, 57, of HMP Barlinnie, approached the 16 and 17-year-old at Glasgow Central at around 6.45pm on Saturday, January 15.
The pair had been sitting on a bench in the main concourse in the station when Anderson unzipped his trousers and performed the sex act.
The girls then reported the incident to the British Transport Police (BTP) who quickly arrested the 57-year-old at the scene.
Anderson was convicted of coercing a person into being present during sexual activity at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
On Wednesday, February 16, he was sentenced to 218 days in prison and put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
BTP Sergeant Claire McCombe said: “Sexual offences will absolutely not be tolerated on the rail network. Everyone has the right to travel and feel safe.
“We will always take reports of sexual offences seriously, and in this case were able to quickly arrest the suspect at the scene and bring him before the courts.
