Create dedicated wards in medical colleges for Covid management, says UP CM Yogi Adityanath

LUCKNOW: Stating that there is no need to close schools as of now, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed government hospitals and medical colleges to stay alert in view of rising cases of Covid-19.

“All medical colleges must develop a 30-bed dedicated Covid-19 ward. There is no need to close schools as of now though the cases are steadily rising,” said an official statement citing CM Yogi Adityanath, who held a review meeting with Team 9’ on the issue of pandemic management.

The CM also asked the health department officials to keep government hospitals ready for effective management of Covid-19 cases.

“At least 10% of the beds in government hospitals must be reserved for coronavirus patients,” he said.
