Craig Gordon will spend the next 12 months out injured after he was stretchered off in Hearts' 2-2 draw with Dundee United on Saturday, it's claimed.
Waves of support have flooded in for the 39-year-old, who turns 40 before the week is out, following a collision with former Scotland teammate Steven Fletcher. He was taken off with gas and air, with teammates ashen faced as their captain lay in distress. It looked like the nation's number one would certainly miss the rest of the season with deputy for club and country Zander Clark stepping up in his absence.
The Daily Mail now claim Gordon 'is facing up to a year' on the sidelines following a suspected leg break. Its also stated that 'there will now be serious concerns about whether his career may be over, given the rehabilitation battle he faces in the months ahead.'
