Craig Gordon and Summer Harl announce name of baby boy in first pictures

Summer Harl has shared the first sweet snaps of her newborn son, Axel Ever Gordon.

The former Celtic TV host welcomed her second son with Scotland and Hearts keeper Craig Gordon, and shared a series of pictures and videos of him meeting his big brother Ace. The mum-of-two had been documenting her pregnancy on social media and was a few days overdue when Axel finally made his appearance.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: "At 6:56am on Saturday, our boy finally made an appearance. Axel Ever Gordon. 24.09.22. 9lb 4oz. He is everything and more. #HappilyEverAfter." And many flocked to the comments to congratulate the couple on their new arrival.

The Scotland keeper revealed that he had a sleepless night as he waited for the new arrival to come at 6.56am Saturday morning. Gordon was by Summer's side to welcome baby Axel into the world and he was back to work just 12 hours later to help secure Scotland's Nations League win against Ireland.

The 39-year-old revealed his lad is already the youngest member of the Tartan Army – as well as the nation's lucky charm. Speaking after the game, Gordon said: “Yeah, that was for Axel. I got sent a picture of him watching on a laptop so he’s already seen his first game!

"I got the call at half 10 on Friday night, so I was at the birth, which was great. I came back through and slept most of the day, got up and played. I managed about five hours sleep during the day. I got up for the meeting before the bus departed and straight in to the normal routine of preparing for a match.

“It was busy and a bit different. It was good to get through the game and maybe I’ll get some sleep now – because I might not get much the next few months! It was a great day, absolutely brilliant, it couldn’t have gone much better. I was delighted with everything. It was an amazing morning and it was finished off with a great result at night.”
