This Morning host Craig Doyle was visibly shocked on Thursday's show as he discovered a surprising fact about one particular guest.
Craig and his co-host Rochelle Humes invited Doctor Zoe Williams into the ITV studio to answer viewers' medical questions and dilemmas. As the duo introduced the mother-of-one at the beginning of the programme, Craig asked Dr Zoe: "Who would you like to hear from today?"
Dr Zoe replied: "Absolutely anybody, so it's an open phone in today so let's try and keep it health because I'm not an expert in anything else! All of your health questions, give us a call and we'll see what we can do." Craig then turned to mother-of-three Rochelle and said: "She is an expert in Gladiators!"
Sounding stunned, he continued: "I only found out the other day that she was a Gladiator!" As the camera cut back to Dr Zoe flexing her arms, Rochelle said: "Look at that! Look at those arms, you can't be surprised!" Craig, 51, was left open-mouthed as he shouted: "Oh my word! I've gotta pull my sleeves down now!" It comes after Craig and his other co-host Josie interviewed three former Gladiators on the show earlier this week.
Dr Zoe went by the name of Amazon when she appeared in the 2008 remake of Gladiators, which aired on Sky. She was also in a long-term relationship with one of the original ITV Gladiators, Hunter.
Speaking on Loose Women back in 2018, Hunter - whose real name is James Crossley - said: "She used to be a Gladiator. She was one of the new breed. Gladiators came back on Sky about eight years ago." Dr Zoe is now in a relationship with Stuart McKay and the pair welcomed a son named Lisbon Lion Williams-McKay last year.
