'Cracking effort' - Leeds United supporters react to Carabao Cup loss to Wolves

Leeds United fans have given their thoughts after tonight's 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

It took until the 84th minute for the deadlock to be broken when Daniel Podence's pass was whipped across the area and substitute Boubacar Traore hit home past Joel Robles for the lead.

The loss sends the Whites out of the competition a stage earlier than their exit last season, in which they were knocked out in a 2-0 loss by Arsenal.

The match saw head coach Jesse Marsch hand out four debuts to young talent that have proven themselves in the Under-21s setup, with Darko Gyabi, Sonny Perkins, Mateo Joseph and 32-year-old goalkeeper Joel Robles being given his first start for the Whites.

Many took to social media after the match to give their views on what happened, with some taking the positives from the loss while the others were more unhappy. Here's what they had to say...

@JakeTaylor200: Cracking effort by the young lads

@inesonm2310: Good effort from the young lads. Joffy & Harrison poor tonight though

@bLeedsutd: Let's take the positive tonight...thank god we didn't buy Hwang!

@Damien_Cms: A good run out for the less experienced members of the squad. Very difficult to get a result in a game where so many changes are made to the starting lineup. The League is where the results matter and the Spurs game is rightly the priority. MOT

@shezzer97: Played alright I thought. Some questions over certain individuals. Considering we went 85 minutes with a young team and wolves put out a starting 11 its not bad
