Federal device regulators have issued an early alert covering a disposable breathing circuit used to deliver breathing gas to newborns, after the manufacturer told hospitals to pull affected hoses from where they are used or sold.
The alert concerns the VentStar Resus Neo, model MP00310, made by Draeger. The company sent letters to affected customers on September 1, recommending they inspect the hoses and discard any showing cracks or a detached connection.
