Covid: Telangana sees declining trend in virus cases

HYDERABAD: Amid rise in Covid-19 cases in various states, Telangana on Monday recorded 1,380 continuing the declining trend in new cases. With this the total number of cases recorded so far in the state stand at 7,78,910 while the death toll stands at 4,101 taking into count 1 death recorded in the state on Monday.

A total of 3,877 patients were declared recovered, taking the total tally of recoveries so far to 7,50,809. Currently there are 24,000 patients under treatment. The recovery rate currently stands at 96.39 percent while the fatality rate stands at 0.53 percent. On Monday, a total of 68,720 samples were tested.

Telangana has now completed testing 3.26 crore samples and has reached 8.77 lakh sample testing per million population.

Apart from the GHMC, districts which saw more cases include Kothagudem (49), Nizamabad (39), Karimnagar (39), Mancheriyal (34), Khammam (55), Sangareddy (51) and Hanamkonda (41) new cases.
