Scotland has reported its highest ever number of Covid hospital patients since the pandemic began.
In recent weeks, the country has seen a surge in cases and infection rates, with the most recent data showing 2,128 people in hospital with the virus on Monday (March 21.)
Nearly two years since the first lockdown, the figure is the highest ever for those in hospital for Covid-19, with 9,533 new cases also confirmed.
