Covid Ireland: 11,139 new cases confirmed as expert says Omicron wave has likely peaked

There have been 6,329 further positive PCR tests of Covid-19 confirmed in Ireland today by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

An additional 4,810 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal on Sunday.

The Department of Health says there are now 1,006 people in hospital, of which 97 are in ICU.
