Covid infections double in one part of the Liverpool City Region

Liverpool City Region Covid-19 England

An area in the Liverpool City Region has recorded a massive jump in Covid infections.

According to the latest data from Public Health England, Sefton had 1,187 infections in the week ending March 7 - that's 596 more positive tests than the previous week.

This represents a week-on-week percentage change rise of 100.8%.
