Courteney Cox says she 'talks' to late Friends co-star Matthew Perry 'a lot' following tragic death

Courteney Cox has said she feels the presence of her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry often following his shock death.

The actor, who was best known for playing Chandler Bing in the American sitcom, died last year at the age of 54.

Perry was found in the outdoor hot tub of his Los Angeles home on October 28 with his cause of death ruled as an accident from the effects of ketamine.

Over six months following the actor’s tragic passing, Cox, who played Chandler’s love interest Monica Geller on the series, shared how he is still a presence in her life, admitting he “visits” her.

Appearing on CBS’ Sunday morning, the 59-year-old said: “I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years.

“He visits me a lot, if we believe in that. I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that, I think, guide us.

“I do sense — I sense Matthew’s around for sure.”

In the interview, Cox also shared that Perry was “so funny and had a genuinely huge heart” but added that he “obviously struggled”.

During his life, Perry was open about his battle with substance abuse and addiction – and also set up a sober living facility for men with similar issues.

Following his death, a foundation was set up in his name to help those struggling with addiction.

In March it was reported that the late Hollywood star created a will in 2009 saying he wanted to leave “a majority of his belongings to a trust”, which is named the Alvy Singer Living Trust after Woody Allen's 1977 Annie Hall character.

Perry was worth an estimated $120million. Legal documents list the value of the star's personal property as a “little over $1million” - this money is what his executors found as additional assets that are not already in his private trust.

Trust beneficiaries listed in the documents were the star's father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison, half-sister Caitlin Morrison and ex Rachel Dunn, who he dated from 2003-2005.

According to his will, he also stated that any children he had after 2009 would not be "explicitly entitled" to his fortune. He never had kids and never married.

The documents also list Lisa Ferguson and Mike Myer’s ex wife Robin Ruzan as executors of Perry’s will. However, documents show that Ruzan has declined to act as one of his executors.
