America’s longest-held wrongly jailed woman is finally free

A woman who had her murder conviction overturned after spending 43 years behind bars is finally free.

Sandra Hemme had been the longest-held wrongly incarcerated woman known in the U.S., according to her legal team at the Innocence Project.
