The Central Administrative Court has ordered a temporary suspension of an announcement postponing the Social Security Board election, clearing the way for the poll to proceed until the court issues a final ruling.
The court issued the injunction late on Friday after more than 13 hours of hearings in a case brought by the Progressive Social Security Team, which is seeking to overturn the election committee's July 27 announcement delaying the election.
The court ruled that suspending the announcement would not obstruct state administration or public services, noting the Social Security Office (SSO) has updated databases for all three categories of insured persons and can immediately retrieve voter information by province.
