MUMBAI: Even as the CBI opposed his plea and expressed fears of him absconding, a special trial court has allowed actor Sooraj Pancholi to travel to Dubai for two weeks for a "actor training workshop".
He is accused of abetting the 2013 suicide of his girlfriend actor Jiah Khan. "From the reply of the prosecution, it does not reflect that after registration of crime and after bail order, the applicant ever violated or breached any conditions imposed on him.
There is no adverse instance brought on record by the prosecution that did not entitle the accused permission to travel abroad," the court said.
