Rogue landlords who crammed up to 23 people into two bed flat where man died in e-bike fire fined £90,000

Husband and wife landlords who rented out a “grossly overcrowded” east London flat where a tenant died in an e-bike fire have been fined more than £90,000.

Father-of-two Mizanur Rahman, 41, died from the effects of smoke inhalation after the fire in the early hours of March 5, 2023 at Maddocks House in Shadwell.
