A couple who painted their Grade II-listed townhouse black have been ordered to repaint it white after neighbours complained the colour clashed with the surrounding Victorian and Regency homes.
Edmond Curtin painted the front of his property in a dark charcoal shade, prompting fierce objections from neighbours that it created a “visually discordant and jarring effect”.
