A couple left in fear they were related took DNA tests to find out if they're sisters.
Canadian duo Carley and Mercedes, from Ontario, have been in a relationship for more than two years.
But after a conversation with their mums about their former love lives - including possibly the same man - they became concerned they could in fact be related.
The pair began to panic and were frequently told by their one million TikTok followers that they looked like "twins".
Wanting to know if they were connected in more ways than one the OnlyFans models opted to get a DNA test to see if they could be half-sisters - but they face a five week wait.
After forking out nearly £250 for tests and waiting more than a month, where they still stayed in the relationship, the pair were overwhelmed to find out they aren't related, the DailyStar reports.
Speaking on TikTok and OnlyFans, the couple said: "We were very anxious and the thought of potentially being related was horrifying but we just tried to keep ourselves busy.
"We’ve gone our whole relationship without knowing that this could have been a possibility so it seemed easy enough to just continue on like normal but it was always at the back of our minds.
“It’s definitely taken away a lot of stress and anxiety.
“We’ve finally been able to breathe for the first time in what feels like forever.
"We couldn’t imagine going the rest of our lives without knowing.”
The X-rated model both shared the news on their TikTok, amassing more than 14million views in the process, and hugged each other from sheer joy when they realised the fact the wouldn't be any awkward Christmas dinners.
Carley and Mercedes added: “Everyday feels like a celebration.
“We’ve never been happier and we’ve been enjoying every minute together.”
