A couple said they were 'locked in' their room in unbearable 40-degree heat at a five-star hotel in Mexico.
Pam and Peter Ladyman said they were treated like 'second-class citizens' at the Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico in Nuevo Vallarta when they had to isolate after catching Covid. The couple, from Wilmslow, spent 11 days quarantined in their room, during which time staff refused to clean and 'made them feel like they didn't exist', they claimed.
The couple said they had stone cold meals delivered to their door and had their room key disabled so they couldn't leave, Cheshire Live reports. When they were allowed to travel back home, the pair said they burst into tears.
