A couple bought a house for £630,000 and lived in it for five years only to discover it still belonged to the previous owner.
Jess and Jackie Morecroft paid more than 1.2million Australian dollars at auction for the property on Australia's Gold Coast in March 2018.
Five years later, the Queensland Supreme Court ruled the Mermaid Beach home, whose value rose to more than $2.7million over the years, still belonged to the previous owner, 83-year-old Hind Issa, and was never transferred into the couple's names, even though they bought and paid for it.
