A man and woman were arrested yesterday at Glasgow Airport in connection with alleged serious organised crime offences.
The aircraft they had been travelling on from Dubai left the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday at 7.57am, with Police Scotland alerted to their imminent arrival in Glasgow.
The Daily Record reports that couple were detained in connection with organised crime offences and it's thought that at least six officers were involved in the arrest.
The 29-year-old man and 23-year-old woman arrived in Scotland on Emirates flight EK27, which landed in Glasgow at 12.43pm.

One traveller said: "The airport was swarming with police officers but we didn’t know that until they had arrested them as they were undercover, dressed just in normal clothes.
"There were at least six cops involved in grabbing the couple who looked shocked they were being arrested.
"It all kicked-off at passport control and it looked like a huge operation.
"Most of the passengers were tired getting off the plane but this gave everyone a jolt."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, officers, acting on intelligence, arrested a 29-year-old man, and a 23-year-old woman at Glasgow Airport in relation to serious and organised crime offences. Enquiries are ongoing."
A Glasgow Airport spokesperson said: "We wouldn’t comment on a Police Scotland matter such as this."
