County Durham schools to receive extra government support under plans to Level Up education for disadvantaged children

County Durham England

Schools in County Durham will receive extra support under plans to Level Up education for disadvantaged children and young people across England.

The county will be one of 55 new Education Investment Areas as part of the Government's Levelling Up White Paper.

Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, South Tyneside, and Sunderland will also receive targeted support, aimed to help young people from all backgrounds receive the highest standards of education.
