Las Vegas has arguably become one of the centers of the music world.
Once known for nostalgia and schmaltz, Sin City now hosts some of the biggest acts in the world.
U2 did a lengthy residency at the new Las Vegas Sphere, which was followed by short residencies by Phish and Dead & Co, and the Eagles are headed to that groundbreaking venue in the fall. They join other huge names appearing in residencies all over the Strip.

MGM Resorts International (MGM) recently saw Lady Gaga close her long-running residency, but the singer said she won't be gone long. Gaga shared the Dolby Live Theater, however, with Bruno Mars, who has become a Las Vegas Fixture.
Caesars Entertainment has an impressive array of iconic acts playing at the Caesars Palace Colosseum, including Rod Stewart, who just extended his residency, and it just lost Adele, who ended her "Weekends" residency in June.
Now, a new superstar will be bringing his act to the Colosseum.
The Las Vegas Strip goes country
A number of huge country stars have performed Las Vegas Strip residencies. Carrie Underwood's "Reflections" residency has become one of the signature shows at Resorts World Las Vegas.
Miranda Lambert closed her show, “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency” at Planet Hollywood's Bakt Theater in April. But Caesars Entertainment (CZR) , which owns Planet Hollywood, still hosts perhaps the biggest country act of all time, Garth Brooks, who performs at the Colosseum.
Now, those huge names are being joined by another big-name country performer who already has made a big bet on the Las Vegas Strip: Blake Shelton.
The singer, who opened his Ole Red bar on the Las Vegas Strip at Caesars' Horseshoe Resort Casino, will now be playing a residency at The Colosseum.
"The country superstar has booked a series of shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, covering Valentine’s Day and the first two weeks of February. The 48-year-old country star will headline six performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from Feb. 5-15, 2025," the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Called "Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas," the shows will go on sale to the public on Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Blake Shelton bets on the Las Vegas Strip
Ole Red has a handful of locations including two in Nashville, one in Orlando, Fla., and one in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The Las Vegas version raises the stakes.
“There’s nothing like this in Las Vegas,” Blake said on the Ole Red website. “For the country music family, the industry, Nashville, to have a home base now in Las Vegas is obviously a big deal for me, and I’m going to brag on it."
Ole Red is designed for surprise performances by big stars and aims to bring some of Nashville's rising stars to the Las Vegas Strip.
"Have you ever been a part of someone’s big break? It happens all the time here at Ole Red, where the hottest new talent comes to polish their chops," the company says on its website. "Every month we spotlight some of our top talent, and you can hear them here first and see them live, in person at Ole Red."

Ole Red Las Vegas has multiple stages and has musicians booked from late morning to late in the evening across various stages.
It's also a full-service restaurant with multiple bars.
"Prepare to walk into something The Strip has never seen before, with all the kiss-my-country-ass-attitude boss man Blake Shelton can provide," the venue's website says. "Your spot for the best country dining, rooftop views, specialty drinks, and live music in Sin City, Ole Red has brought a whole lotta honky-tonk to Las Vegas."
