The final of this year’s North East Business Awards will take place next week, with 25 companies vying to be named the best in the region.
The awards give local businesses the opportunity to showcase their talents and highlight what makes them stand out in the business world. Winners from earlier heats in Tyneside and Northumberland; Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside; and Teesside will go head to head in 10 categories for the overall regional prize.
Finalists in the North East Company of the Year award - last year won by Middlesbrough computer games company Double Eleven - are Newcastle Building Society, eQuality Solutions and Cleveland Containers. Other nominees include Unipres UK, Artech Lighting, Rowen Homes and Muckle LLP.

“The North East Business Awards have been celebrating the best of the region’s companies for more than 20 years and it is more important than ever to celebrate the best of our businesses.”
The grand final will take place at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield next Thursday and is headline sponsored by Sage, with support also from category sponsors Acute Business Advisory, Business Durham, CIPD North East of England, Newcastle City Council, Newcastle University, Nifco and the University of Sunderland.
