Count Binface refuses to unmask on TV: ‘Nobody wants to know what’s underneath’

  • Newsnight presenter Paddy O'Connell asked the satirical candidate, whose real name is Jonathan David Harvey, to “bin off the bin” and show his face.
  • Count Binface responded that “nobody wants to know what’s underneath” the bin, adding: “It’s disgusting. It’s absolutely putrefying.”
  • Count Binface is positioned as Nigel Farage’s primary electoral rival in the upcoming Clacton by-election.
  • Major political parties, including Labour, the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Green Party, and Restore Britain, are not putting forward candidates in Clacton.
  • Mr Harvey, a comedian, previously stood against Boris Johnson in the 2019 general election and ran for the Makerfield by-election which was won by Andy Burnham.
