COUNT Binface is set to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe for one night only following his most successful by-election result yet.
The intergalactic space warrior will take to the stage in Edinburgh on August 26, performing at the Pleasance King Dome.
It comes after he emerged as Nigel Farage's main opponent at Thursday's by-election in Clacton, amid a boycott by the other major parties.
The Reform UK leader initially quit as an MP to force a by-election in protest at scrutiny over donations he received from a crypto billionaire.
He won comfortably with 22,239 votes, while Count Binface came in second with 9455 – meaning they were the only two out of 32 candidates to keep their deposits.
The satirical character, whose real name is Jon Harvey, will perform Count Binface: Face of the Establishment, which is described as "a one-hour dose of political comedy and sci-fi satire".
The title of the show is in reference to Farage's claim that Binface was the "candidate of the establishment".
Binface told the media in response: "I would argue that someone who has been an MP, been an MEP, who was one of the chief architects of Brexit, and one of the dominant figures in British politics over the last 20 years, and is reputedly a member of the East India gentlemen's club, which apparently does not admit women, I would arguably say that's slightly more establishment than a lone wolf space warrior with a Ceefax fixation."
Following the Clacton by-election result, Binface said he had "humiliated" Farage and that he was "the winning candidate of the candidates who bothered to turn up for the results".
Farage refused to turn up to the count after saying Essex Police advised him that there was a credible threat against him – a claim the force has denied.
Count Binface: Face of the Establishment will take place on Wednesday, August 26, at 4.40pm at Pleasance Dome, King Dome.
