The funeral of a council worker who died "making sure everyone was safe" during Storm Eunice will take place on Wednesday.
Billy Kinsella was killed when a tree fell on him while he was trying to clear debris from a road in Co. Wexford in treacherous conditions.
The tragic incident took place in Ballythomas on Friday as the country was battered by winds of up to 100km/h and heavy rain.
Mourners will gather at The Church of Our Lady of the Nativity, Ballyfad, for Funeral Mass at 3 pm, followed by Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
A funeral notice read: "Reposing at his home on Tuesday, 22nd February, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral arriving to The Church of Our Lady of the Nativity, Ballyfad, on Wednesday, 23rd February, for Funeral Mass at 3 p.m. followed by Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
"The family very much appreciate your support and co-operation during this very sad and difficult time and would be grateful if you would express your messages of sympathy on the Condolence link below this notice."
Tributes have poured in for worker who was described as a "gentleman" and a "great husband and father".
In a statement, Wexford County Council said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the employee's family, work colleagues and friends at this very difficult time."
TD Paul Kehoe offered his sympathies to the family, saying: "My condolences to Rita , Conor and the extended Kinsella Family on the very sad passing of Billy RIP.
"May you all be given the strength to get through this. And I know from speaking to people in North Wexford that Billy was held in very high regard and was a very conscientious Council worked and took pride in what he had to do on a daily basis.
"May God Bless Billy and his Family."
Cllr Nicholas Crossan said: "My heartfelt condolences to the wife, family and the work colleagues of Billy Kinsella. As an elected councillor I have witnessed at first-hand the dedication of Council road staff to keeping the public safe in times of emergency. It is so sad that Billy lost his life performing such a front-line duty.
"On behalf of Ireland's elected local authority members I wish to reiterate the my sympathy to Billy's family and council comrades. Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige.”
Others acknowledged Billy's hard work and dedication to his job.
They said: "Deepest sympathy to the Kinsella family on the tragic loss of Billy.He was one of the essential outdoor workers who go to work quietly each day often unnoticed and under appreciated by the rest of us .Thank you Billy for your service to County Wexford.May your happy memories of Billy be a comfort in the times ahead".
