Council to declare ICSE and ISC Semester-I results on Monday

KOLKATA: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will declare the results for the Semester 1 board examinations of ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class X) on Monday.

This is the first time that these board exams were split into two halves keeping the constraints in learning and uncertainties over holding offline examinations during the pandemic. The Central Board of Secondary Examination that also conducted the Term 1 exam in November is expected to announce the results soon.

Around 40,000 sat for the ICSE first semester and around 25,000 for the ISC first semester exams.

CISCE chief executive Gerry Arathoon said the Council would not issue any hard copies of the Semester 1 exam results. However, the results will be made available to the schools in the form of online transcripts and result tabulation.

In a notice sent to all heads of schools, the Council informed that the results can be accessed by logging into the Career portal of the Council using the principal's login ID and password. Individual candidates can access the results by visiting the Council's website www.cisce.org. Candidates can also receive their results through SMS.

The online module for submitting the request for recheck of the results will be available for only three days - from 10am on February 7 to 10am on February 10. No requests will be entertained thereafter.

Candidates applying for recheck will have to apply directly through the Council's website. The charge will be Rs 1,000 per paper for ICSE and Rs 1,000 per subject for ISC.

"We are eagerly waiting for the results. Since the mode of examination was multiple choice question based, completely different from the usual format, we all are anxious to see how the students have performed," said Delhi Public School New Town principal Sonali Sen.
