Council apologises to Millwall over use of club badge in racism booklet

Millwall Westminster City Council

Millwall Football Club received an apology from Westminster City Council for the insensitive use of their official logo in a children's education booklet.
The club's badge was depicted on the clothing of a member of a white supremacist hate group in the booklet, which aimed to illustrate the historic problem of racism within football.
Westminster City Council confirmed the booklet has been removed from circulation and stated they are reviewing internal processes to prevent similar incidents.
A council spokesperson apologised to Millwall for the improper use of their logo and any offence caused.
Millwall's official supporters' group indicated that the club is still considering its legal position regarding the matter.
