Could tearful Jamie Laing be the antidote to Andrew Tate's toxic manosphere?

In a week when the devastating influence of the manosphere has loomed large in shows like Adolescence, an unexpected hero has emerged: Jamie Laing. The Made in Chelsea star turned Radio 1 presenter has just completed five ultra marathons in five days, running 150 miles from London to Salford and raising over £2m for Comic Relief.

It was an extraordinary feat: not only is Laing not a professional runner, but he claims to have never run more than 5km until this year. At points he looked utterly broken, limping down the streets of Manchester with tears streaming down his face and sobbing even more when friends surprised him along the way. “I've never cried more in my life,” he said in the aftermath.
