The Baltimore Ravens rely on plenty of youth in their pass-rushing department this upcoming season. Jadeveon Clowney is with the Carolina Panthers now after a great season in 2023 with Baltimore, paving the way for some of the Ravens’ younger pass edge rushers to step up.
In an article by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, New England Patriots pass rusher Matthew Judon was identified as a potential trade target for Baltimore. When explaining why the Ravens should be interested, Knox talked about how Clowney is no longer with the team, and an extension could work out for both parties.
Bleacher Report says the Ravens should be interested in trading for Patriots OLB Matthew Judon, and places his value at a conditional 2025 3rd-round pick

“The Baltimore Ravens should be very interested in pushing the Patriots for a trade now. Baltimore employed Judon for his first five seasons, is expected to be a Super Bowl contender in 2024 and lost 2023 leading edge-rusher, Clowney, in free agency…Financially, trading for Judon’s $6.5 million base salary could be a challenge, as the Ravens have just $6.4 million in cap space. However, giving him the extension he wants with a backloaded contract could be a win for both parties.”
Judon is familiar with Baltimore, as he spent the first five seasons of his career with the purple and black. A reunion could benefit both sides, as it wouldn’t hurt for the Ravens to add more proven veteran juice into their pass rusher group as it currently stands.
