Cotton Rallying Ahead of USDA Reports

Cotton prices are up 133 to 159 points on Friday morning. Futures were mixed across the board on Thursday, with front months down 7 to 9 points and deferreds up 6 to 12 points. October expired on Thursday. Crude oil was up $2.90 per barrel on the session, with the US dollar index $0.078 lower.

Harvest may be slowed in parts of the Southeast over the weekend, with hurricane Isaias bringing 2 to 5 inches across much of the region from the Mississippi River to the Atlantic.
