Cosy Joes had some big news for its customers on Monday night which will mark the real end of an era - the sticky carpet in its popular upstairs bar has bit the dust!
Now if you've never been to Cosy's, it is without a doubt ,one of the best places to party in Newcastle seven days a week, whether it's karaoke you're after or just a drink and a dance along to the likes of Sweet Caroline, Mr Brightside, Red Light Spells Danger or Heaven is a Place on Earth.
If you are partial to a bit of karaoke action, you'll know the top floor of the city centre bar is where it's at, whether you and your mates want to serenade each other in the privacy of a private karaoke pod or belting out a bit of Paradise By The Dashboard Light for your fellow revellers' listening pleasure. Well it's upstairs where everything has changed now, with Cosy Joes management confirming that its carpet has now left the building.
