A TikToker is helping Costco customers across the US save a little coin the next time they go shopping for groceries.
In a video shared on TikTok Sunday, shopping expert Amin Shaykho offers a quick overview of the best ways to determine where the deep discounts are when perusing Costco's aisles.
"I guarantee you didn’t know this Costco life hack," Amin captioned the brief clip.
The video shows Amin walking around his local Costco as he can be heard narrating the best practices and what to look for when shopping.
"Do not shop at Costco until you know these secret codes," he declares in the clip. "Clearance items end in .97 so that means that the item is on sale."
He continues: "If the price ends in .39, .49, or .79 it is a manufacturer's special. Regular prices end in .99. Manager markdowns end in .00 and an asterisk means items wont be restocked."
Amin's run through of Costco has garnered over 134,600 views since it was first posted on Sunday. The TikToker often posts videos of him providing shopping, life and tech hacks at some of America's most popular business establishments and chains.
He added even more hacks in an online blog — Amin Tips — and asserted that coupons would not be needed for the next trip to the wholesale store.
"Costco visually differentiates the price tags of organic products by using a green price tag," he wrote. "Non-organic products have white price tags."
Amin later concluded: "Most of us rely on Costco for its consistently fair prices on high-quality products. Costco isn’t the place for the cheapest deals always.
"If you diligently clip store coupons, match them to sales, and are ready to shop at multiple stores, you can potentially save more on some items."
