People go wild for swag. And many companies have cashed in on that fact. Fast food icon McDonald's (MCD) -) has turned the happy meal phenomenon into limited-edition gear releases, including toys, shirts, and hoodies, that turn around and retail for a ridiculous amount of money.
There's another company whose brand name inspires a niche sense of brand loyalty. It's a place where you can find discounts on large items from electronics to bulk-purchase wine, and you can grab incredibly cheap hotdogs or a whole rotisserie chicken for pennies on the dollar. Shoppers know it and love it: Costco (COST) -).

One place the Costco fanbase likes to share its love for the big-box store is on Reddit. You don't usually see the Reddit thread "blow up" with any hot merch drops -- but today was a little different.

In what the original posters calls “wholesale haute couture,” the store is releasing a sweatshirt featuring a black-on-black logo of Costco’s in-store brand Kirkland Signature.
One commenter vouched for the actual construction of the product, saying that they own a previously-released sweatshirt and felt like they were “walking around clad in head to toe Kirkland Signature is like walking around enveloped in a warm hug.”
The jokes go on, but people are seriously hyped for this wholesaler’s gear launch. The sweatshirt likely won't cause the same kind of scalper frenzy that other limited-edition releases do, but who knows? Kirkland Signature had made a highly-coveted fashion item nonetheless.
