Costco fans have expressed their utter delight at the news that the warehouse store has begun selling its pumpkin pies again. The beloved autumnal treat is a staple on American dinner tables at this time of the month as they celebrate Thanksgiving.
The annual holiday takes place on November 24 and thankfully Costco shelves have been stocked in time. Fans of the treat have been thrilled by its return with many declaring it their all-time favourite.
Gateshead Costco has confirmed to the Chronicle that they are selling the pie for any eager fans. They confirmed that they had plenty of stock in the fridges.

One particular fan expressed her delight after writing to the chain in anticipation of the pies' release. She said: "I wrote to Costco a few weeks ago... and made a desperate plea for the pies. They are delicious!"
For many in the UK, the hype of the pumpkin pie in the States means many are rushing out to try the craze. One fan confirmed, "I'd never had pumpkin pie before but bought one for a change. Pie is absolutely lovely."
Another said: "I'd never tried before but it was absolutely beautiful." A third said: "Had one today, it tastes fantastic."
There are some fans who couldn't wait to dig in. One commentator said: "I saw a lady eating one while waiting at the tills."
Pies retail for around £5.99. However, it is possible that the prices will vary depending on the warehouse you visit.
The Costco pumpkin pie is a signature creation in the USA, having first been sold in 1987. It has always used the same recipe and will often sell out ahead of Thanksgiving.
The national holiday in the States, which celebrates the harvest, is not celebrated in the UK. However, many Americans living in this country still enjoy marking the holiday themselves and for many, that includes a Costco pie.
An American Costco fan in the UK said: "As an American, when we would buy store-bought [pumpkin pie], Costco was always the best one. Will be going to get one today."
