Costco's name will appear on Medicare Advantage plans for the first time in 2027. SCAN Health Plan will offer a co-branded HMO in 17 California counties and two Nevada counties, Fierce Healthcare reported. Coverage starts Jan. 1, 2027, and seniors can choose it during Medicare open enrollment, which begins Oct. 15.
The launch puts a familiar retail brand in front of older adults just as federal marketing rules loosen. A trusted store name can make a plan feel simpler. It does not change how the plan's network, referrals, or drug coverage work.
