Airport parking can make or break a holiday for some people. Leave it until the last minute to park your car while you're on holiday and it can cost a fortune, but book the right way and within plenty of time and you can make big savings.
We recommend booking as flexible an option as possible, with continuing strike action a possibility, you don’t want to be left out of pocket if your flight home is delayed. Often, travel insurance doesn’t include extras like parking, so it pays to be prepared in case of an emergency.
Newcastle International Airport has a number of parking options to cover all types of holidays. We’ve outlined what each section covers, how much they cost and how long you can stay.

Drop-offs and pick up
Sometimes, instead of taking your own car to the airport, it makes more sense to grab a lift from a family member or a friend. Anyone can get the first 15 minutes in the Short Stay 2 car park for free but after that is when charges begin. The Express car park, which is closest to the airport, begins at £4 for up to 10 minutes.

Newcastle Airport long stay, fast track and premium meet & greet price comparison
We compared prices for a week-long stay in each of Newcastle’s top car parks from April 10 to April 16 and from August 1 to August 7. Long stay is the standard parking option, located around five to 10 minutes from the airport terminal.
Upgrading to a premium long stay gets you slightly closer to the airport, with just three to five minutes to walk - though it could be more depending on how heavy your suitcase is. Meet and greet does what it says on the tin, you can park directly in front of the airport where you’ll be met by a dedicated staff member who will take your car and keep it safe while you’re away.
Newcastle’s premium fast track is just 30 metres from the airport terminal and includes extra wide bays and a covered walkway, meaning that there’s no mad dash if the heavens open to see you off. Booking in advance on the airport website can save you up to 60% and also comes with free cancellation and is fully amendable in case your times or dates have to change.
