Dublin could lose its Stag Party Capital of Europe crown after the price of pints skyrocketed to nearly €10 in recent months.
The Irish capital was given the gong after beating off other hotspots such as Barcelona and Budapest this year.
The research from stag and hen party company Last Night of Freedom said they have crowned Dublin the most booked bachelor destination outside of the UK for 2023 but the company doesn’t reckon it will be able to retain the title next year.

But both Benidorm and Prague have experienced a massive surge in demand for stag parties as the cost-of-living crisis continues to squeeze people’s finances.
Matt Mavir, Managing Director of stag and hen specialists Last Night of Freedom, said: “Dublin has always been the jewel in Ireland’s party crown and there will always be a huge demand for trips given the city’s legendary reputation for a good time.
“But when you have double-digit inflation, customers generally want to get as much as possible for their cash.
“So it is only natural that when a pint in the Temple Bar costs almost €10, a lot of people will instead pluck for Benidorm where they can get the same beer for €1 – and they can drink it in the sun.”
Last month, a special investigation by the Irish Mirror revealed brazen boozers in Dublin’s Temple Bar were flogging some tipples for nearly €10.
The Temple Bar Pub, which was bustling with punters who were visiting Ireland, was the most expensive watering hole we visited.
A pint of Heineken, Carlsberg, Hophouse 13, Bulmers, or Orchard Thieves costs an eye-watering €9.95 - which is believed to be the dearest in the country. While Guinness or Murphys will set revellers back €8.95.
Figures supplied by Last Night of Freedom show that around 115 different stag parties will descend on Dublin this week, a figure only topped globally by Newcastle.
The top five most visited EU stag party destinations for 2023 are:
1) Dublin
2) Prague
3) Benidorm
4) Budapest
5) Amsterdam
