- Mr Mkhwanazi was suspended in November 2025 following recommendations of an internal audit investigation into allegations of misconduct.
- While wiping sweat from his forehead during the proceedings on Tuesday (14 April), a piece of tissue remained stuck, leading one of the chairs to pause the session.
