Coronation Street fans are convinced Brian Packham needs to watch out, after the arrival of his cousin Isabella.
Isabella made her debut on Friday after weeks of being mentioned, and ahead of confusing scenes to air on the ITV soap next week.
Brian was recently notified about his family tree by a website, and he learned he was of Italian heritage thanks to a DNA test.
He was sent an email claiming he had an Italian cousin named Isabella, and she soon wanted to meet him leaving him thrilled.
As Brian decided to venture off to Italy to meet his relative, he was stunned to learn she wanted to visit him instead in Weatherfield.
On Friday, viewers saw Brian finally meet his apparent relative in person as she arrived on the Cobbles.
Brian was thrilled to meet her and soon his pal Mary was asking about her life in Italy, concerned is she was hiding something.
As Brian asked his cousin about this, Isabella suggested there was nothing to worry about but fans were not convinced.
She said: "Don't worry Mary, I do not kill your boyfriend in the night."
As they all laughed it off, viewers began to speculate there was more to her arrival on the Cobbles.
Taking to Twitter, viewers were convinced she was lying about her true identity and wasn't actually Italian. Some suggested she might be scamming Brian, as they guessed her real reasons for being there.
One viewer said: "Mary is right to have her suspicions. Brian could be getting conned here."
Another tweeted: "Mary could be right, Brian could be getting ripped off," as a third fan said: "He's probably going to be scammed."
A fourth fan added: "Is this Italian woman story going to be the same as @ emmerdale one where Mary was conned by someone she met online. Sounds like it might be."
It comes as new spoilers for next week revealed she could be hiding something, as she reveals she can't return to Italy.
She is also seen meddling in Brian's relationships as she deliberately ignores Glenda and Mary, before sabotaging George’s model of a Golden Hind ship and sets up Brian.
By the end of the week, Mary notices Isabella taking liberties and appearing to steal things but lets it go.
Isabella then asserts that she can’t wait for Brian to visit her in Naples but makes it clear that Mary’s not welcome.
Soon she's left in tears though, and tells Brian that during the renovations at her flat, the builders have discovered subsidence and it’s not safe for her to return.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
