Coronation Street viewers couldn't help question Leo Thompkins' reasons for deciding to move to Canada, after an odd comment on Friday.
The character recently left partner Jenny Connor devastated when he revealed he'd been offered the job of a lifetime in Canada.
He was planning on moving there very soon, and asked Jenny to join him - but she said it would never work, and her life was in Weatherfield.
Jenny ended up getting drunk and sharing a kiss with Stephen Reid - something Leo has yet to find out.
Moments later, Leo refused to give up on their romance, and again begged Jenny to join him in Canada, before proposing to her.
Jenny realised what she wanted and agreed to move with Leo, saying yes to his proposal as well.
The move came up recently when the civil engineer revealed he had a great job opportunity that he was considering, believing it was too good to turn down.
So when Leo later began hinting he was looking for work, viewers were very confused - given this was his reason for going in the first place.
Ahead of his and Jenny's exit, with no date given, Leo was approached by Sarah Platt who was with her uncle Stephen.
Stephen was hiding the fact he had just kissed Jenny from Leo, but it seemed he was up to something.
Sarah had said: "You'll be able to help them out, with all your contacts. So Stephen has factories which I'm assuming they must all use construction."
Leo responded to Stephen: "Oh amazing, I'd love to pick your brains. What's your number?"
He later said to Jenny of Stephen: "He might be able to help us. With finding work, he'll have loads of contacts out there."
Viewers were confused though, considering Leo was meant to have a dream job lined up.
One fan tweeted: "Did Leo say Stephen could help ‘finding work’? Thought he has a job of a lifetime lined up???"
Another agreed: "Wasn't Leo going to Canada for work? Whys he asking Stephen."
A third fan added: "I thought Leo was moving to Canada because he’d been offered a job? so why would he need help finding a job when he gets there?"
This was echoed by another viewer who said: "You already have a job lined up in Canada. That was the point of going."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
