Coronation Street star Gemma Oaten has hinted her character could be back to cause chaos for Fiz and Tyrone.
Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) married Phill Whittaker (Jamie McKenna) in scenes airing on the ITV soap recently - but following their nuptials, she made a beeline back to see her former love Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
Tyrone and Fiz have been together for years, but they split after the mechanic decided to go for Alina Pop. Whilst their romance never worked out, the pair remained apart and Fiz moved on with Phill.
During that time, Tyrone ended up having a brief flirtation with Isla, played by Gemma, and now Fiz and Tyrone are back together, Emmerdale star Gemma has teased her character could be back to cause some drama for the pair.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine today, which was hosted by Carol Vorderman as Lorraine Kelly is still off work with Covid, Gemma joked: "I got poor Tyrone punched. I can't believe he's back with Fiz."
Carol then gave her verdict on the couple, adding: "He'll always go back with Fiz!"
"You never know, she might go back and cause a ruckus!" Gemma teased of a possible return for Isla.
Tyrone actor Alan Halsall previously insisted Fiz and Tyrone had to get back together - for the sake of "history".
"I think the one thing that Coronation Street has – above all other shows as far as I’m concerned – is history. Tyrone and Fiz have an unbelievable history, they’ve got years together, they’ve been through so many things together," he said recently.
"Of course there have been speed bumps along the way and most of those have been down to Tyrone and been his fault, but certainly this time I think he recognises what he’s done, what he’s lost."
He added: "He recognises that Fiz is his soulmate and I think he’s praying that she chooses him."
Tyrone was famously punched in a bust up over Isla, as her husband Tony finding out about their flirtation.
"Isla tells Tyrone she liked being married, but [her husband Tony] was a pipe and slippers kind of bloke. Then Tony comes in, and he ain’t pipe and slippers! Poor Tyrone is going, 'Who's this?' Isla is in the middle," Gemma recalled at the time.
"You can see a tinge of, '[Tony] is fighting for me, he wants me!', but when Tyrone gets punched, she’s like, 'Oh my god, what are you doing?!' and that’s where some of the actual realities of their relationship come out."
