Coronation Street’s Tyrone could be headed on a collision course with Hope after her recent antics in next week’s instalments of the soap.
Troubled tween Hope Stape has managed to get away with her part in Joseph Brown ’s disappearance in recent weeks.
Hope hid her cousin, played by real-life twins William and Isabella Flanagan, in her loft in order to upset their families and even kept him hidden as the search party and police furiously looked.
But when a valuer for the house arrived to appraise it during Fiz ( Jennie McAlpine ) and Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) split, Hope risked being caught and ordered Joseph out of the house.
Hope later found him hiding out with a tent borrowed from Tyrone’s loft and when he discussed going home, she threatened him into keeping her involvement quiet.
When Joseph went home, Bernie’s friend Clint spotted him and saw an opportunity to cash in on the £30,000 reward.
Now Hope’s troubled behaviour could be addressed, as ITV spoilers reveal Coronation Street ’s Tyrone makes a bold suggestion to Fiz.
The drama begins on January 31, when an upbeat Fiz discusses Hope’s recent antics with Evelyn.
Fiz says that Hope’s therapist thinks her behaviour has just been that of a mischievous child, as opposed to something more sinister.
But Evelyn is not convinced by this conclusion.
In later scenes, Tyrone steals himself to discuss the matter with ex Fiz.
He suggests to her that there is more to Hope’s behavioural problems than they first thought.
He then goes on to say that they should seek out a proper diagnosis for her troubled behaviour.
Coronation Street's Fiz and Tyrone have been a fan-favourite couple on the cobbles for years, but Tyrone's affair with Alina last year brought their relationship to an end.
Over the festive period we saw Tyrone clash with Fiz's new partner Phill, forcing her into a confusing scenario as she tries to navigate the attention of both her former and new partner to decide where her heart lies.
Producer Iain MacLeod has discussed the possibility of a rekindled romance between the pair.
He said: “I have absolutely loved every single second of the Fiz and Tyrone story.
“When I told some people about the plan, there was some rolling of the eyes over 'another soap affair' but right from frame one it has not been anything like that.
“The scene that Jennie and Alan did, written by Ian Kershaw, with nine minutes of uninterrupted marital breakdown, was one of the best things I saw on TV last year.
“I'm constantly on the lookout for when the earliest is for Tyrone and Phill to have another ludicrous fight, because the one at Christmas was the best thing I've ever seen! There's lots more comedy feuding between those two men.
“We're giving the audience cause to question Phill's motives at times. I won't spoil the outcome of all that, but Fiz will end up in a huge dilemma about where her future lies.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
