Coronation Street fans have a dramatic week in store on the cobbles of the ITV soap next week.

From a gunpoint showdown with Imran and Adam, to a mystery tormentor issuing death threats to the Barlows, with a possible Valentine’s Day death to boot.

Coronation Street residents have a dark week coming, ITV spoilers reveal, but who is behind it all and which character could be killed off?

Here’s what’s coming next week on the cobbles for Corrie fans…

The story begins with Adam furious as he discovers his car windscreen has been smashed, prompting him to vow to put an end to Jeremy Bremner's intimidation campaign.

But is Adam going after the right person?

He tracks Jeremy down, who holds a grudge with the lawyer over a past case, and confronts him - but he denies being behind the graffiti or smashing the windscreen.

Adam later receives a creepy silent phone call, followed by a second one, as he tries to assure Sarah that Jeremy is out of their lives for good.

Adam and Imran held at gunpoint by armed police

Adam’s week on the cobbles goes from bad to worse when armed police storm his office building, following a tip off from a mystery character.

When they arrive, the officers claim to have had reports of a firearm being in the building, and this is what they are looking for.

It's not known where the tip off has come from, but Adam can't help but fear the worst.

Imran and Sarah blame Adam for antagonising Jeremy, while Adam insists on reporting him to the police over the false gun report.

Valentine's Day death horror teased as one character tipped to be killed

The turmoil doesn't stop there though, as Adam is horrified by more terrorising at the end of the week.

Back at the house, Sarah and Gail are amazed to find a huge bouquet of flowers - which they presume must be from Adam.

However, he's left confused when she thanks him for the flowers and they take a look at the card, horrified by what they read.

"Next bouquet will be for your funeral," the note says. The door was deadlocked so the pair are fearful the perpetrator may be there.

Sarah rings the police, unsure what to do as Adam finally details the harassment campaign he's been subjected to by Jeremy. Sarah is horrified as she finds out about the silent phone calls and they decide to get the locks changed.

Adam suggests Sarah and Harry go and stay with Nick whilst Sarah sends Peter to the flat to keep Adam company. There are more calls but Adam is told to ignore them by Peter. Elsewhere, his tormentor stares at the outgoing call on their phone.

The tormentor then sneaks back into the flat, snipping the heads off two red roses and leaving a note that ominously reads: "Happy Valentine’s Day. It might be your last."

With Adam and Sarah in serious danger, will one of them meet their death on Valentine's Day?
