Corrie spoilers: Max's fate revealed as he's sentenced for horror stabbing

Coronation Street's troubled teen Max Turner (Paddy Bever) is finally sentenced next week on the ITV soap, raising the likelihood of his exit from the cobbles in coming scenes, if only temporarily.

Max (Paddy Bever) has been placed in a juvenile detention facility after he pleaded guilty at his hearing related to the horror stabbing attack on the soap last month.

Max’s former crony Blake Myers, who fell in with Max in evil Griff's (Michael Condron) gang as part of a dangerous far right storyline, was seen at the centre of extreme violence in Speed Daal.

Actor Adam Little has exited the ITV soap amid the major racial violence story, after his character’s final scenes aired as Blake was sentenced for the vicious stabbing of Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) as well as the attempted murder of councillor Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).

After Blake had live streamed the attack on social media, he told police that Max’s propaganda videos inspired him to go on a stabbing spree.

This fact landed the teen in police interrogation and has resulted in him speaking about his involvement in Griff’s extremism gang.

Max began to accept the consequences of his actions and subsequently decided to plead guilty during the hearing, which left David (Jack P Shepherd) convinced he had let his son down.

ITV spoilers have now revealed that next week on the soap sees David attend a meeting with Max and his barrister Kim.

Kim confirms that because Alya has failed to submit a personal victim statement, Max’s case may be better than initially anticipated.

In later scenes at court, David, Spider (Martin Hancock), Gary ( Mikey North ) and Daryan (Twana Omer) watch as the judge hands Max a six month sentence.

Outside the courtroom, David hugs Max and assures him that he’ll visit as often as he can, but the teen tells him he doesn’t want any visits.

Later on, in the secure training centre, a group of lads leave Max fearing for the future as they tell him they’ll make his life hell.

The storyline has been the subject of much controversy among fans, having prompting numerous Ofcom complaints in recent weeks.

Furious viewers took to Ofcom to complain about the violence in the stab attack episode, which aired pre-watershed - with 72 complaints in total.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
