Coronation Street airs big scenes for some next week, as killer Stephen Reid may be exposed - while there's a return for another character.
Tim Metcalfe takes drastic action when he finds out his mother Elaine plans to marry Stephen, who fans know is just after her money.
A scene hints Elaine herself could be onto Stephen's plans too, but will the secret killer get his own way?
Elsewhere and there's a return being lined up for teenager Max Turner, who remains in a juvenile detention facility.
As he meets with his dad David Platt and discusses his possible early release, the teenager will be sporting a bold new look! Here's the big moments to look out for next week...
Kidnap terror
Tim Metcalfe has cottoned on to evil Stephen Reid it seems, and next week he takes action.
But in surprising scenes the character turns kidnapper, and takes his own mother Elaine hostage in what he believes is a move to protect her.
Suspicious over Stephen's intentions for the romance and correctly guessing he's after his mother's savings, Tim tries to stop their looming and sudden wedding.
The pair decide to fly to Las Vegas for a shotgun wedding it seems, with Elaine smitten with her new man.
Of course she has no idea he is a killer, having murdered three characters in under a year on the ITV soap, and he's also a fraud.
Stephen accidentally proposed to Elaine earlier this year, while fans know he is using her and is after her money.
It seems Tim knows this too, and when he finds out the pair are heading off to get married he takes abrupt action.
Pretending to be fine with it he agrees to drive them to the airport, but as Eileen gets into the car he speeds off and leaves Stephen behind.
The mother and son will have a heart-to-heart over the matter - but can he convince his mother to not go through with it?
Max returns with new look
Coronation Street teenager Max Turner is set to return to the ITV soap next week, and he looks very different.
Max - played by Paddy Bever - was placed in a juvenile detention facility after he pleaded guilty at his hearing related to the horror stabbing attack on the soap, and has been off screen for a few months. However, he will be back next week as his father David reaches out to him as he gets some news amid his sentence.
Next week on the ITV soap, David is in need of help when he finds out that Max is being considered for early release. He tells mum Gail that Max could be out from the juvenile dentition facility earlier than expected.
However, when he visits Max in the secure training centre, he warns him not to get his hopes up. Will Max be out sooner than expected, or is he set to spend even more time behind bars for his crimes?
The character sports a brand new look next week, with his short blond hair gone in exchange for a shaven look.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
